This is my entry for 7DFPS - a horror, a little bit Doom/Wolfenstein-ish FPS where you, namely, Walk Around. Unfortunately, I have failed to finish it in time. Also, I've decided it to be my last game made on Game Maker. I swear to God, mother, and anyone else you can think of that I'll be deleting Game Maker and never ever use it again - time to grow up. As such, I'll upload not only the game itself, but also the Game Maker 8.0 original source file for those of you who need it. You might find some useful tricks over there, although the code wasn't even been tried to be commented in any way. Some doors are temporary and/or don't work. Implemented about 60% of stuff I wanted. Controls: Up/Down - forward/backward, Space - use current item/interact if no item, Tab - change item, Shift - sprint, Ctrl - crouch.

@Sos Strifing was popping in my mind, but over time i declined that idea... Looks like I'll bring it back =P Sprinting is in plans, just not implemented yet.

I played your prototype a few hours ago, it's really nice. Once 7DFPS will be over, do you think you'll have time to compile a native GNU/Linux build?

@LunaVorax Unfortunately, Game Maker won't allow that. I'll try my best to port it on some other thing than that and try to compile it for linux though =P

While it looks like the default Game Maker fps tutorial with some extra stuff, It looks really good and I really want to try it, However I get an error in obj_loader saying variable global.lastroom doesn't exist.

@Bmanrules The game was written by me from scratch. And that's pretty weird, since it should know that there's no savefile and create one... Did you extract the game from the .zip? If yes, creating a file "savedata.decay" and filling it with 5 zeroes, each in it's own line, should fix the problem.

Wow, that's pretty cool. I think I now know what it feels like to have a seizure and die :S. Encountered a couple of bugs. Had to do the 0 lines in savedata.decay to get it running. But once I did and it started getting crazy, I really enjoyed it. Great job on the gradual intensifying of the effects.

@MattCarr I could've sworn that I've added the check for unexisting savedata file. Why doesn't this work is beyond me. Anyway, I've updated the download link and added a blank savedata to avoid further confusion.
