7DFPS ...
Planning...
Gday, just trying to spark some early interest in what I'm planning to do for 7DFPS. Let me know if it sounds interesting! :) Puzzle platforming, using found items to enable access to new paths. Kind of like Legend of Zelda and Portal. Mixing 7DFPS with #ProcJam and #NaNoGenMo - basically, the game will have procedurally generated content, and some kind of procedurally generated story / dialogue. Probably will have a procedurally generated dungeon if I can think of enough ways to vary the challenges in each room. A few other people are trying this too, I'm looking forward to see the stuff they come up with! Optional gameplay elements only possible with an Oculus Rift. Eg, similar to what I worked on for VR Jam ( http://youtu.be/HBPuZu0Y_nw ) But I'm not sure how many people have an Oculus to make that worthwhile! Procedural animations... mostly because I like how the hand turned out in 7HFPS, and with little time :D

I was planning on doing #7dfps and #ProcJam in a similar way but a more straight forward exploration game. Good luck. I can't wait to see if you manage to create fun platform levels procedurally on a consistent basis. I don't think I could.

Looking forward to seeing how that combination of jam premises comes together! If you do Linux Rift builds, I'd be happy to test on my DK1 or DK2 :)

Also, your VR Jam prototype looks pretty neat!

Your project sounds interesting - many proceduralsness 😃 I look forward to seeing how this pans out in an FPS which can all too often be very linear... Plus thanks for the heads up on #procjam - feverishly thinking if I can implement some procedural content into my existing idea... I think it may be possible.
